Our
Key Success Factors
In June 1989, the company started significant changes in operations to increase
productivity and improve quality. Since then, Gilfab / ASI has outperformed
its competition because of these factors:
· Use of Submerge Arc Welding (SAW);
· Mechanisation of welding operations;
· Centralisation of our operations and acquisition of a new 25,000 sq.
ft. plant;
· Implementation of a continuous improvement process for all activities;
· Accreditation by ASME standard, section VIII, division I, for pressurised
vessels (U, H, S and UM stamps);
· Accreditation of all our products by ULC or UL (Underwriters Laboratories
Standard) for petroleum products;
· Certification of the quality assurance program developed with ISO 9001-94
standards.
Because of these factors, ASI has had the necessary technical, financial and
human resources to become the leader of tank manufacturing in Eastern Canada.
